I Built an AI That Runs My Business.
I'll Build One for Yours.

I'm Rees. Product leader, CMO consultant, agency founder, and the person who built a 250,000-line AI operating system to run his entire business. I help companies ship AI systems that actually work, without the three-year learning curve.

The Problem

Everyone's hiring for AI.
Nobody's building with it.

✕Team size stays flat. Expected output triples.
✕6+ tools that don't talk to each other.
✕AI pilots that never make it out of pilot.
✕Product and marketing teams building in silos, duplicating work.
✕Lead gen that depends on individual effort, not systems.

Most product and marketing teams are already using AI. They've got their ChatGPT tabs, their copilot subscriptions, their Notion AI. And they're still just as stretched as they were 18 months ago.

The tools aren't the problem. The integration is.

What's missing isn't access to AI. It's someone who's already built the systems, made the mistakes, found what actually works in production, and can skip you past the two-year experiment phase.

That's what I do. Not strategy decks. Not audits that sit in Notion. Actual systems. Deployed. Running.

What I Do

Four ways to work with me.

Most clients start with an audit. Some skip straight to the build. A few want me in the room every week. All four are fine.

01

AI Operations Audit

2 weeks · Fixed fee

The thing to buy when you know something needs to change but you're not sure what.

I map your entire operation, product, marketing, internal tooling, and find where AI can replace manual work, where it genuinely can't, and what to prioritise first. You get a roadmap you can act on with or without me.

 • →Full operational audit
 • →AI opportunity mapping
 • →Prioritised roadmap with estimated ROI
 • →2x working sessions
 • →Recorded output
02

AI System Build

4–8 weeks · Fixed fee

The thing to buy when you're ready to actually change how your operation works.

I design and deploy the 2–3 systems that will have the biggest impact. Lead gen. Content pipelines. Internal tooling. Reporting dashboards. Real, running systems, not prototypes.

 • →Systems designed, built, and deployed
 • →Full documentation
 • →Team handover
 • →30 days post-launch support
03

Ongoing Optimisation

Monthly retainer

The thing to buy when you want to keep moving forward without managing it yourself.

Once the systems are running, they need tending. New tools come out. Edge cases emerge. I stay in the loop, keep things running, train your team, and build new systems as needed.

 • →Monthly strategy call
 • →System monitoring
 • →Iterative improvements
 • →Direct Slack/WhatsApp access
04

Fractional Leadership

Min. 2 days/week

The thing to buy when you need a senior operator in the room, not just a consultant.

Fractional CMO, CPO, or Head of AI. I embed with your team, own outcomes, and combine strategic leadership with hands-on AI implementation. Same commitment as a full-time hire, without the full-time price tag.

 • →Strategic leadership and team management
 • →AI systems architecture and deployment
 • →Board and investor-level reporting
 • →Direct integration with your leadership team

Not sure which is right? Book a 20-minute conversation.

The Work

Not mock-ups. Not demos.
Actual deployed systems.

These aren't hypotheticals or spec projects. Every one of these is live and doing the job it was built to do.

An interactive proposal website that helped close a £250,000 engagement. Not a PDF. A live, animated site.

 • →Built in days using Next.js and Claude
 • →The kind of thing an agency would charge £30k to produce
The Result

Things I've Built

I don't just consult.
I ship.

Platforms, dashboards, AI systems, SaaS products. Every one of these was built by me: strategy, product thinking, architecture, and code. No dev agency. No technical co-founder.

Track Record

10 years. London.
Real brands. Real outcomes.

I spent a decade working with serious businesses in London before moving back to Cape Town. Here's the short version.

The Right Fit

This works if you're in one of these situations.

I work with B2B SaaS companies, tech platforms, and professional services firms. Typically 50–500 employees. Product and marketing teams of 3–20 people.

🎯

The Stretched VP

You're running a product or marketing team against an impossible workload. Your CEO keeps asking what you're doing with AI. You've tried a few things. Nothing's stuck. You need someone to come in, figure out what's actually worth building, and then build it, without a 6-month discovery phase.

🏗️

The Founder / CEO

You know your product and marketing need to be more systematic. You've got a team but they're reactive, not proactive. You want AI in the operation but you don't have time to become an AI expert. You need someone who can own this and deliver outcomes, not hand you a document and disappear.

📈

The PE-Backed Portfolio Company

You've got a new portfolio company. Growth is underperforming. You need a senior operator who can come in fast, assess the situation, implement systems, and transfer capability to the team, then exit cleanly. No long-term hire commitment required.

Also available for fractional leadership roles: CMO, CPO, or Head of AI. Let's talk.

Based in Cape Town (GMT+2). Fully remote-capable. London travel is no problem.

About

I'm not a developer.
I just build things.

(And yes, I'm aware that's a weird sentence.)

I grew up in South Africa, spent 10 years working in London with some serious brands, and moved back to Cape Town when my wife and I decided that raising kids in London was expensive, cramped, and unnecessarily grey.

My background spans product and marketing: strategy, go-to-market, growth, community, team leadership, all of it. For the past couple of years I've been CMO consultant for MyMiniFactory / Thingiverse, the world's largest 3D printing platform. I manage a 16-person team. I led the acquisition announcement. It's a real job with real stakes.

I also run Levity, my agency, which does AI-powered lead gen and marketing automation for B2B clients.

And then there's everything else. The AI systems. The side projects. The 250,000-line content engine. The AI operating system that runs my calendar, email, and business dev. I built all of that at the same time, with two kids under three, using the same AI tools I help my clients use.

I'm proof that you don't need to be technical to build serious things with AI. You just need to commit to it.

When I'm not building, I'm usually trying to be a decent husband and dad. My son Sunny is two and a half. My daughter Auri is seven months. Sleep is a memory.

The Numbers

Don't take my word for it.

I don't have ten years of named consulting clients yet. I've spent most of my career building internally. But here's what I do have: deployed systems, hard numbers, and a £250k deal that closed because of a website I built in three days.

That's the kind of proof that doesn't need permission to publish.

Start with a 20-minute conversation. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit, and if I am, exactly what I'd do first.
